A couple of years ago, I published a 2-minute frozen fruit smoothie recipe that quickly became one of my most popular recipes on Mom Sparks. I never expected something as simple as a 2-ingredient smoothie would get so much attention!

For this particular smoothie, I used frozen strawberries and almond milk (that’s it!).

The great thing about this recipe is that you have the freedom to use any frozen fruit or a combination of fruits, just like I did in the original smoothie recipe I shared.

You can also choose any type of milk you prefer, such as coconut milk, oat milk, or cow’s milk.

WHY I PREFER FROZEN FRUIT FOR SMOOTHIES

There are several reasons why I prefer using frozen fruits over fresh fruits in my smoothies:

  1. It creates an ice-cold smoothie.
  2. No ice cubes are needed.
  3. It’s easier to make.

A GOOD BLENDER MATTERS FOR SMOOTHIES

Having a good blender is crucial for making a smoothie; otherwise, frozen fruit may get stuck in the blades and the process will take longer than two minutes.

So, do yourself a smoothie favor by purchasing a new blender if you don’t have one currently capable. I have the “Ninja Professional Countertop Blender with 1100-Watt Base, 72oz Total Crushing Pitcher and (2) 16oz Cups for Frozen Drinks and Smoothies (BL660).”

This blender simplifies any recipe and smoothie-making with its versatile cup attachments and easy-to-clean, all-in-one design.

Anyway…Ninja also has a smoothie-only blender, which could be a great option, too!

Okay, now that we’ve had “the talk” (about blenders), let’s get onto the smoothie recipe.

Easy 2-Minute 2-Ingredient Frozen Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

When making healthy smoothie recipes, I prefer almond milk due to its light taste that doesn’t overpower the fruit flavor. Nevertheless, there are several other milk alternatives to choose from such as coconut milk or coconut water, oat milk, cow’s milk, or cashew milk. Each option has its unique taste and texture, so it’s best to experiment and find your preferred choice.

Although this recipe calls for frozen strawberries, feel free to use any fruit of your choice! Frozen bananas, blueberries, or even a pineapple smoothie would all be delicious alternatives.
