DIY Mod Podge Canvas Art
I know, I know…It has taken me forever to finally post my Mod Podge art project that I’ve been talking about for months. Well, folks, I finally have it finished, on the wall, and photographed!
For those of you who are new, check out this post on how to create your own wall art using Mod Podge, by one of our contributors, Suzanne. (her bio coming soon) I am VERY pleased with how it turned out and think it is a great addition to our home.
Creating the artwork was the easy part. Hanging in a perfect pattern was difficult because each canvas is not exactly the same measurement. You honestly have to eyeball it as best as you can and make lots of mistakes before getting it right. I remembering cussing and sweating a lot. Overall, this was an inexpensive way to decorate a wall, and you can fit whatever style you like. The scrapbook paper comes in countless styles, patterns, and colors. We like a little modern flair in our home, so that’s why I chose those particular colors and patterns. I would love to see your Mod Podge artwork! Suzanne even went beyond wall art in this post. You can pretty much Mod Podge anything that doesn’t breathe!
Happy Mod Podging!!!

Super cool! Thanks for sharing!
What a great idea! Simple too…. I love it.:)
Glad you like it!
i bought some canvases and scrap book paper for my wallart. My first few canvases i used spray adhesive and spray modge podge and the paper started wrinkling. Next i used all paint on modge podge but the same thing happened. It was wrinkle free when i adhered it but wrinkled when i applied the modge podge. My next attempt i used spray adhesive then the paint on modge podge and again wrinkles. My last one i just used spray adhesive and one coat spray modge podge but it just looks like scrapbook paper on canvas not a canvas picture. Help!!
How thick was the scrapbook paper? I used a thick paper on mine.
Just regular scrapbook paper. Not really thick but the one piece that turned out well was thicker. Have u tried the printing of a picture on tissue and puting that on canvas? any hints or suggestions?
I would use thick paper only to avoid wrinkling. Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention!
